Animal Health Canada hosted an Incident Command System (ICS) 100 – Emergency Management for Agriculture course via live-webinar on February 27 and March 6, 2025. The course had a sold-out attendance, bringing together professionals from across the farmed animal sector in Canada.
In addition, a pilot ICS 200 – Emergency Management for Agriculture course was launched as an interactive, in-person event in Elora, Ontario, on April 3 and 4, 2025. The course, designed to enhance operational efficiency during incidents, was also met with overwhelming demand with a full-house attendance. The ICS-200 course focused on managing single resources within the Incident Command System, particularly in response to incidents like animal disease outbreaks. Attendees included experts from poultry, dairy, beef, swine, hatcheries, animal genetics, veterinary, epidemiology, and government sectors.
