Get CLT Certified On-line Anytime, Anywhere!

May 31st, 2021 by Amy Wright

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to change the way we interact with each other and now it’s easier than ever to get a Canadian Livestock Transport (CLT) certification safely and remotely using our new and improved on-line training platform.

CLT on-line training is easy to use, affordable and instantly accessible. CLT courses are available for livestock (cattle, sheep, hogs, equine, bison and elk) and poultry (chicken, turkey, ducks) in French and English. The courses offer a multimedia experience with text and videos to ensure that course content is delivered in an interesting and informative way.

Course manuals and related materials are provided electronically – participants can print any information they require. The exam and certificate issuance are included in the course registration costs. Fees are $200 per participant plus applicable taxes and certification is valid for 3-years.

On-line instruction also offers flexibility of time and location. Participants have the opportunity to take the course immediately and complete the certification at their own pace from their computer or smartphone. There are no geographic limitations, no travelling involved, no classroom scheduling to worry about, and no time away from work.

Certificates and wallet cards are ready to print as soon as the participant completes their course.

Other benefits to going virtual:

  •     Getting certified is fail proof - Each test component requires participants to achieve 80%. Those who fail are able to review the module again and take a new test with different questions.
  •     Constant monitoring- The technical support team are constantly monitoring our courses and content to make sure everything is working and up to date.
  •     Help and Support- Ongoing support and guidance are available from the CLT coordinator or the technical support team.
  •     Bulk costing rates - Organizations interested in purchasing courses for a minimum of 50 team members at once are eligible for a bulk costing rate to reduce registration fees.
  •     Get Updates – Participants will be alerted when modules are updated or new course become available.
